Title: New version 5 coming soon
Date posted: 26 May 2010, 14:25
After a long wait, Geoida v5 is expected to be released about mid-year. The major addition to Geoida, of interest to many customers, is the 3D least-squares network adjustment including GPS/GNSS observations. Geoida can now import a number of common GNSS vector formats and can combine terrestrial observations with GNSS observations into the same network. There are numerous other additions and improvements to the LS Network Adjustment, including localisation.
Other new features and changes:
- Least Squares Network Adjustment:
- Manual Traverse data sets, SDR, Civilcad Neutral and CDS Stadia formats can be imported directly to the LS Network Adjustment
- Enhanced options for LS network adjustments, such as new tests for outliers, selection of confidence levels, comprehensive standard deviation and centring settings
- Plots of an adjusted network now show error ellipses with orientation, and vertical error bars
- Adjustment simulation
- Import operations - if no geoid values are defined in the incoming data but a geoid model is defined, values may be interpolated from the model
- Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7 compatible
- New Help system
Existing users of earlier versions of Geoida please note that re-registration and payment of an upgrade fee will be required to use v5, however Geoida v5 may still be installed separately from the current version for evaluation.
