Download the current version of Geoida for evaluation, update or new installation.

Release Notes

IMPORTANT (existing installations v4.43.12 or earlier): Before installing as an update over an existing v4.43.12 or earlier installation, you should FIRST un-install the existing Geoida version. Follow these steps:

1. Exit Geoida if running
2. Make a copy of Definitions.gld to another folder - necessary only if changes or additions have been made to the definitions library (eg new Projections, Transformations etc)
3. Backup the contents of the Geoida\Data folder and sub-folders as required
4. Use Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel to completely remove the old Geoida installation
5. Install the new Geoida version
6. Replace the new definitions library Definitions.gld with the saved copy (if saved in Step 2 above)
7. If the installation is licensed but has become un-registered, re-validate in Help + Validate

The following is a summary of some of the changes in this release:

• Starting Geoida by file association: Geoida now correctly executes and opens a job file double-clicked in Explorer
• Radiations option - When the instrument station point has a valid height, a distance is now also reduced to datum when the Vert Angle and Vert Comp fields are blank (implies distance is horizontal)
• Inverse option - Terrain Distance is displayed only when Height Datum is Geoidal/Orthometric or Spheroidal (not when 'Arbitrary')

Older Geoida Versions

If you would like to revert to a previous version of Geoida, please UNINSTALL the current version and then download a previous version here. CAUTION: In some cases, because of fundamental changes to database structure, it may not be possible to use existing jobs that were created by the newer version that you now wish to remove.

Evaluation

Geoida is distributed as shareware and functions in either Evaluation or Registered mode ...

• Evaluation mode (default) - free for evaluation purposes for 8 execution runs; limitations apply
• Registered mode - registration and payment of a licence fee is required (no limitations to software function)

Registration and Purchase

To register Geoida and obtain your validation code for the unrestricted use of the software, you may either:

• Register and make your payment ON-LINE - Credit and Debit card payments

OR ...

• Register and pay manually - suitable for Credit Card, Direct Deposit or Cheque (Australia only), or International Bank Draft payments. Recommended for company purchase orders, invoiced payments and additional licences

For manual registration and payment, complete the Registration form within the installed Geoida application (select the Help menu About Geoida option), then print and return it with the required registration fee or Company Purchase Order to Convergent Computations Pty Ltd.
